Throughout the years, SaddleBrooke continues to be highly valued for its quality of life. Residents choose to live here for the many activities offered in a healthy, safe and friendly environment. At some point though, as time passes, physical limitations make it more difficult to maintain that lifestyle.

Senior Village, a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing simple, non-medical services to residents of SaddleBrooke to help them live independently and to serve as a resource when they decide to transition from our community.

Donations are needed to further the mission of Senior Village at SaddleBrooke to assist residents to stay in their home as long as possible. There are many ways to donate: credit cards through PayPal, checks mailed to PO Box 8584, Tucson, AZ 85738, Arizona Tax Credits, and Amazon Smile. Legacy or planned giving is another way to donate and includes bequests of life insurance, stocks & bonds, real estate, cars, boats, etc. Credit card donations go through PayPal, at the bottom of the page, or this link HERE, either of which will take you to the Patron Information form. If you prefer to pay by check, click the ‘Check’ box. A letter will be sent to you once your donation has been received.

ARIZONA TAX CREDITS FOR DONATIONS TO SENIOR VILLAGE

• What is the AZ tax credit? The tax credit can apply to your AZ state income tax liability each year that you submit the forms.

• Is there a limit to the AZ tax credit? There is a $421 per year limit for single taxpayers and an $841 limit for joint filers.

• What are the steps to benefit Senior Village, and how do I receive my tax credit? Write a check for your donation and send it to Senior Village by April 15th. Claim your tax credit on your state income tax form. Attach forms 321 and 301. It’s always prudent to consult with your tax adviser for guidance.

• For tax purposes, what is the Village’s ID number? Senior Village at SaddleBrooke is a qualified charitable organization (QCO) recognized by the Arizona Dept. of Revenue. Use the following Senior Village ID number: 20990

Funding the Future

Donations to Senior Village stay within the community of SaddleBrooke. We do not pay for office space, and we purposely keep our dues affordable.

All services are provided by volunteers. This means we must rely on donations to cover expenses such as liability insurance, background checks for volunteers, minimal paid staff, web access, printing, mailings, phone system and more. We ask you, through your generous giving, to support our commitment. There are many ways to contribute to Senior Village through planned giving. We invite you to consider these opportunities:

• Bequests: In your will or trust, you may name Senior Village at SaddleBrooke as a charitable beneficiary to receive a set amount, a percentage of your estate or a residual gift after other bequests have been granted.

• Life Insurance Gift: You may designate Senior Village as the beneficiary of an insurance policy.

• Stocks and Bonds: You may transfer appreciated stocks, bonds and mutual funds as gifts to Senior Village with tax advantages.

• Retirement Plan Gift: You may instruct the institution that handles your retirement accounts to designate Senior Village as the beneficiary of your 401K, IRA, pension or other retirement plans.

• Charitable Remainder Trust: Allows you to make a substantial donation while still receiving the income generated from the asset you are transferring.
